WATCH: President Trump's Weekly Address

Image
I this week's address Pres. Trump discusses legislation that he says will lower energy prices for all Americans. My fellow Americans, We have taken major steps during the first few weeks of my Administration to remove wasteful regulations and get our people back to work. I have been saying I was going to do that for a long time. This week I signed two pieces of legislation to remove burdens on our economy, continue to keep my promises to the American People and so much more. I signed House Joint Resolution 38, which eliminates an anti-coal regulation put forward by unelected bureaucrats.  Our coal miners have been treated horribly, and we are going to turn that around - and we are going to turn it around quickly. We are going to fight for lower energy prices for all Americans as part of the deal. That’s why I also signed a resolution to eliminate a costly regulation Dodd-Frank imposed on American energy companies. By stopping this regulation, we are able t...

Christians were fuming with Kelly Price when she sang this at a gospel event, then she went online to clear her name

Image
buzzz worthy. . . By Mona Austin The styles of gospel music are so  diverse today that it is sometimes hard to tell when a song is gospel music. For attendees at the Indiana Black Expo, where R&B Diva Kelly performed on July 17, it was crystal clear what is not gospel music. Price sang the adultery hymn "As We Lay" during what appeared to be the opening of the gospel segment.  Unbeknownst to her a schedule change placed her performance  ahead of the gospel portion of the event.  Unintentionally, it looked like she was the opening act. Price immediately took to social media to air out her frustration after an event emcee criticized her "inappropriate" selection when she left the stage. Vented Price,  “I think this type of ignorance and this type of church bigotry is ridiculous and it’s the reason why people won’t come to church….I am very, very angry."  Price, who also has a repertoire of gospel selections, explained tat she was not asked ...

buzzz worthy. . . #olympics2016 By Mona Austin Gabby Douglas ( Tarzana, Calif./Buckeye Gymnastics)  is headed to her second Olympic games in Rio despite a sub par showing at the U.S. Women's Gymnastic trials in San Jose, CA on Sunday. Starting the night in seventh place, Douglas lost footing on the balance beam and fell off. She made up for the short fall on the uneven bars. Her stellar record helped secure a ticket to Rio in the end. "Even though I h a couple of mistakes on day 2 I am so grateful and so honored that they believed in me." I still can't even believe it. I am proud and honored to be selected" Douglas said. Simone Biles making the team as the actor was a given after consistently high marks.   Biles, 19, of Spring, Texas/World Champions Centre, automatically qualified to the team at the conclusion of competition at the 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials for women’s gymnastics after winning the two-day all-around. The balance of the ...

Image
buzzz worthy. . . Blacks were honored for their accomplished works in several major categories at the 22nd Annual SAG Awards last Sunday night--an  outcome that will be impossible at this year's upcoming Oscars.  As two of the earliest airing award ceremonies, the Golden Globes and SAGs usually foreshadow what is to happen at the Oscars.  That is not the case this year.  There is not even a remote possibility we'll see a similar string of actors and actresses on the Oscar red carpet, in the audience as nominees or on the stage as winners when it airs on Sunday, February 28 at 4 PM Eastern on...
