After over 30 year in music, chart-topping gospel artist CeCe Winans proved at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards that she is getting better with time. Winans won in every category for which she was nominated: Best Gospel Album. Best Contemporary Christian Performance and Best Gospel Performance. Country music's Carrie Underwood won the Grammy for her first gospel recording in the category of "Best Root Gospel." Worship aggregate Elevation Worship and Maverick City Music won the award for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album for the record, "Old Church Basement."
