Ahead of the 250th Birthday of the U.S. the Department of Education is further encouraging the teaching of positive U.S. history with the announcement of a proposal for Patriotic Education grants. As the federal government continues to scrub history the Trump Administration does not deem suitable for all from classrooms and museums, thus grants seeks to promote acceptable lessons about U.S. history that enabled the Republic to thrive.
