President Obama dedicated his weekly address to mothers, giving special thanks to his mother-in-law Marion Robinson and First Lady Obama and recognized all mothers. The president also took the opportunity to beckon Congress to make changes that affect mothers and their families, like providing paid maternity and paternity leave, sick leave, accommodations for workers who are pregnant, good health care, affordable child care, flexibility at work, equal pay, and a decent minimum wage.
