White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has separated from her longtime partner, veteran journalist Suzanne Malveaux. Jean-Pierre shared the news in an interview with Vogue published online Thursday. She was discussing parenting and said she is now co-parenting their 9-year-old daughter, Soleil. “I’m a single mom who is co-parenting this amazing kid,” Jean-Pierre told the publication. “Our number-one priority is her privacy and to make sure we create an environment that’s nurturing.” Having been a care-giver for her two siblings was "a thousand percent" not interested in having children. Her ex initiated the adoption. Jean-Pierre and Malveaux were together for over a decade. Malveaux quit her job as a White House correspondent for CNN in January to avoid a conflict of interest. The Vogue feature came out on Thursday.
