Author Chinua Achebe dies at 82
buzzz worthy. . . Chinua Achebe, the author credited with bringing African literature into the global spotlight, passed away today. His most noted work, "Things Fall Apart" (written in 1958), shed light on British colonialism in his native Nigeria. Also an essayist, the University of London educated writer taught in America. Achebe died of a short, undisclosed illness. He was 82.
