A bi-racial student radio host, Samantha, tries to clarify complex in "post racial" America on her show, "Dear White People" before misunderstandings and tensions come to a head when African American students on the campus literally fight back at a stereotype-filled "Black" themed Halloween party put on by White students. Racial politics play out on a playing field that appears to be level, causing the very definition of racism. The Justin Simien directed picture has already won four awards before its theater release including the Special Jury Prize for Breakthrough Talent at the Sundance Film Festival.
