Donald Trump has signed a $2.3 trillion rescission bill, potentially averting a government shutdown and providing COVID-relief to millions of financially burdened Americans. In his response he combined the omnibus budget for the covernment with the COVID-19 package. Lawmakers blocked Trump's attempt to make sweepinmg changes to their bill last Thrusday. (The Slice): On Tuesday outgoing Pres. Donald Trump pardoned and communted the sentencs of 15 people. Most of the individuals receiving executive clemency were Trump loyalists including two people entangled in special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe that failed to lead to Trump's impeachment. Former Trump campaign Chairman Paul Manafort is noticably absent from the list. It is customary for presidents to grant pardons before vacating office. Official have determiend it is improbable that the outcome of the Georgia recount will change election results for President Donald Trump.  As the re-counts come to a close, another blow dashes wisful thinking of the Trump Administration.
