TYE TRIBBETT REACTS TO KU KLUX KLAN CONFEDERATE FLAG PROTEST DAYS BEFORE HIS “HATE WON’T WIN” CONCERT IN COLUMBIA, SOUTH CAROLINA

buzzz worthy. . . Grammy Award winner Tye Tribbett was already scheduled to give a “Hate Won’t Win” concert in Columbia, SC this coming Thursday when he saw a shocking site on the evening news. He witnessed almost 50 Ku Klux Klan members angrily chanting and waving confederate flags to protest the removal of the Confederate flag from the South Carolina Statehouse in Columbia last week. “I’m even more committed to fighting racism than ever before,” says the gospel superstar whose dynamic ensemble has shared stages or recorded with the likes of Faith Hill, Justin Timberlake, Sting and Don Henley.   “It's a sensitive place to be right now in Columbia where one side wants to honor the efforts of their forefathers and another side wants to erase the memories of the pain caused by them,” Tribbett says thoughtfully sighs.” It's not going to be an easy road, but I do know this: hate won’t win!”   Tribbett’s Ju...

  Greater Than  In Stores June 4 Tribbett Performed on BET’s Celebration of Gospel (Nashville, TN – April 8, 2013) – Motown Gospel/Kingdom Music recording artist Tye Tribbett’s new single “If He Did It Before…Same God” enters at #1 on iTunes. The single is also #17 on  Billboard ’s Hot Gospel Singles chart. And his Motown Gospel debut project,  Greater Than , will be in stores on June 4 (see attached CD cover). On the historic night of the launch of Motown Gospel at the Arc Theatre in Los Angeles, GRAMMY ® - nominated and multiple Stellar Award-winner, Tye Tribbett performed “If He Did It Before…Same God” and other new music from his Motown Gospel debut album,  Greater Than , for a standing room audience of over a 1,000 industry VIPs and supporters from all over the country. "Everything fresh man! Everything fresh! Out with the old in with the new!," chants Tye Tribett on "Fresh", the single from his upcoming full CD release by the same title.  This is  the first project since the G. A. (Greater Anointing) split.  Has Tye backed by  the new group lost some flavor or is this just a different flavor?  Some folks on You Tube aren't feelin' it, saying the song is just not "him."  Take a listen and decide for your self. Caesar, Franklin and Morton honored at EMF By Mona Austin Church fans, devotion, an overflow room, spirit-lifting preaching and an all star gospel music line up: It’s Sunday Morning worship a la Essence Magazine's 16 th Annual Essence Music Festival All Star Gospel Salute (EMF) .   Gospel music sometimes gets pushed to the sidelines of major events, but here it had headline status, adding sparks to the fest's Independence Day activities. After two days of empowerment and partying, thousands packed an exhibit hall in the New Orleans Convention Center to praise. The program had the feel of mega church with world class gospotainers in tow to pay tribute to the legendary  Shirley Caesar , gospel music innovator Kirk Franklin and founder of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship , Bishop Paul S. Morton and his wife Deborah. Kirk Franklin’s words were filled with emotion as he accepted the honor with his wife, children and in-laws on the stage. ...
