Rep. William Hurd (R-TX) Texas Republican William Hurd announced he will not run for re-election, severely hindering the GOP's chances of winning back the House of Representatives. "I have made the decision to not seek reelection for the 23rd Congressional District of Texas in order to pursue opportunities outside the halls of Congress to solve problems at the nexus between technology and national security," Hurd tweeted. The former CIA agents plans to work in a job in which he can still serve the country outside of Washington. Hurd envisioned a party that looked like the nation he once said.
