Where Washingtonian politics, cronism and name brand degrees are king, the Obamas have rewarded a low key former intern with a track record passion and reliability on the job. The White House today announced Thursday Dyer has been promoted to Special Assistant to the President and Social Secretary. The White House indicated "Deesha was selected from among an abundance of well-qualified candidates for her passion and dedication to opening the doors of the White House, most notably engaging students from communities across the country."
