Yet alongside the many trails he has blazed in the entertainment industry,there are just as many running throughout the halls of academia, where Knowles has deep roots as a scholar and instructor. As a 1974 graduate of Fisk University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, he was later bestowed the honor of Doctor of Humane Letters from his Alma mater in 2008.
