Sen. Cory Booker has dropped out of the presidential race. He ran on criminal justice reform gun violence and reparations. The field is less diverse with Duvall Patrick and Andrew Yang as the remaining minorities in the race. Booker was unable to fully recover after he accused Joe Biden of being racist. He remained optimistic and kept some momentum on the ground, but was not able to raise enough financial support to become a top tier competitor and was unable to make the last two debates. In the latest Des Moines Register poll Booker was at only 3%. In a video announcement, Sen. Booker thanked supporters. He plans to run for re-election in the U.S. Senate representing New Jersey.
