VETERAN SOUL SINGER SHIRLEY MURDOCK PERFORMS ONLINE THIS WEEK

buzzz worthy. . . Veteran vocalist Shirley Murdock recently stopped by the syndicated radio program, The Tom Joyner Morning Show’s Red Velvet Studios in Dallas to perform some of her classic tunes alongside brilliant gospel songs from her best-selling new CD, “The Journey” (Tyscot Records). Murdock’s celestial alto can be heard on songs such as her current Top 20 smash, “Dream,” on the website www.video.blackamericaweb.com starting the week of January 24, 2012. Tyscot Records is issuing Murdock’s new gospel radio single, “Lord, You Reign,” in the coming weeks. Ruben Studdard Give Fans "Medicine" With Tom Joyner Morning Show Performance

"American Idol" champ Reuben Studdard recently rolled through The Tom Joyner Morning Show's Red Velvet Cake Studio for a soul-stirring performance of his new inspirational radio single "Medicine (For Someone Else)" from the charity CD "Medicine: Live At The Black Academy of Arts and Letters" (MCG Records).  Studdard spent the hour talking to the legendary syndicated radio host about his current musical project and community involvement before doing an in-studio jam performance. The CD also features Ann Nesby, Jasmine Guy and others backed by the 80-voice Black Academy Choir.  The project raises money to fund youth arts programs at the 35 year old Black Academy of Arts & Letters in Dallas which is suffering froma cut back in government grants due to the sluggish economy.
