Kendrick Lamar won 5 of 11 Grammy nominations and put on a powerful racially conscious performance that his peers and fans could not stop talking about for the next 24 hours. (He got a shout out from the White House.) That the Grammys would okay the blackest segment ever televised was dope on their part. Like a true boss with sass and class, Taylor Swift shaded Kanye West in her acceptance speech for Album of the Year without uttering his name. She made sure she let the world know she is the only woman to get the award twice in history. Stevie Wonder and Pentatonix gave listeners an ear massage with their version of "That's the Way of the World" in tribute to the recently departed Maurice White, founder of Earth, Wind and Fire.
