"When something good happens to you, I don't know about you guys, but I tend to look back to what brought me here.. . .mom, you are the real MVP" Kevin Durant, 2014 MVP, Oklahoma City Thunder  The NBA's newly minted MVP, Kevin Durant has given his mother, Wanda Pratt  a priceless Mother's Day gift during his acceptance speech Wednesday.  Durant concluded that his mother, a single mom, was the real MVP for instilling the discipline that made him a basketball star and for sacrificing for her family.  Touching many hearts, the speech went viral. The NBA has also made a Mother's Day commercial around his powerful words.   Earning 119 first-place votes, Durant was a clear favorite in the league.
