On Thursday, October 11, rapper Kanye West visited the White House to discuss prison reform. A press conference was held in the Oval Office that became the talk of the internet. With President Trump absorbing his comments form his desk, West addressed African American issues from attempting to justify ending the 13th Amendment to violence in his hometown, Chicago. He also discussed prison reform with leaders in Washington. An excerpt from the transcript of the visit follows: THE PRESIDENT: Kanye, it’s great to be with you. MR. WEST: Great to be here.
