buzzz worthy. . . On Friday, March 11, at The Omni Shoreham Hotel, the Greater Washington Urban League held their 44th Annual Whitney M. Young, Jr. Memorial Gala “Unsung Heroes”. A salute to Patti LaBelle for lifetime achievement. Retired newsman Jim Vance, the emcee of the event, was also awarded as a surprise.
