A Democrat dominant House of Representatives impeached Pres. Donald J. Trump on Wednesday. When House Speaker struck the gavel on two articles of impeachment the reputation Trump frequently brags about was forever tarnished. In an often contentious debate, the vote was strongly divided among party lines. Tarnishing a legacy that he has described as one of the greatest in American history, Trump became only the third president in history to be impeached, an irreversible decision. Under the leadership of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the House Democrats were not swayed to vote in any particular way.
