Sen. Michael Bennet, other lawmakers publicly break with Biden
By Mona Austin (TSN): Michael Bennett, the Democratic Senator from Colorado is the first Democrat to publicly state that Pres. Joe Biden should pull out of the race. In an appearance with CNN's Caitlyn Collins on Tuesday he stated, "Donald Trump is on track to win this election and may win it by a landslide. . .I think we could lose the whole thing." With Biden representing the party at this juncture in the election season, the former presidential hopeful, fears Republicans could regain the majority in both the House and Senate Bennet, a former presidential candidate, appeared concerned but did not indicate he was not on Biden's side as talks about the caucus's position on the matter were underway on the Hill a day earlier. He said at the time that to remain viable in the race Biden would have to campaign hard and play up his strengths to voters.
