SLICE RECAP: The 2021 Soul Train Awards was a big dance party.  The first live show since the pandemic the event was fittingonly held in the Apollo Theater "where dreams are born and legends are made." Opening and closing with pre-recorded performances by Silk Sonic on the original Sul Trains stage, enveloped th espirit, style and sound of the era that birthed Soul Train.  They dubted their new song "Fly Like Me" and were the perfect kick off to the celebration of 50 years that was held at the historic Appollo Theatre.  Hosting for the foruth year straight, best friends Tichina Arnold and Tisha Campbell participating in segments that  kept the aura of the several decades with their fashion, sining and dance moves.   The inclusion of R&B legend El Debarge on "Rhythm of the Night" radiated 80s party energy as dancers punctuated the performance with approprirate dance styles.  In a hop hop cypher dedicated to the annivsary of the late Aliyah's first p...
