First Lady Michelle Obama is added to Angelou Funeral
buzzz worthy. . . First Lady Michelle Obama will speak at the private funeral of Maya Angelou on Saturday. To be held in Wait Chapel on the campus of Wake Forest University in Winston Salem,NC where Angelou taught, the service will be streamed for public viewing on the schools web site and simulcast on OWN at 10:00 A.M. EST. The First Lady presented a special honor to Angelou at the BET Honors in 2012 and considered the well respected port one of her "she-roes." In 2011 President Obama presented the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Angelou. In their acknowledgement of Dr. Angelou's passing, the Obama's called her "a fierce friend."Having bee a supporter of Hillary Clinton, Angelou endorsed Obama when Clinton pulled out of the 2008 race for president.
