U.S.Postal Service to unveil Dorothy Height stamp on Feb. 1
buzzz worthy. . . The U.S. Postal Service will kick off Black History Month with the unveiling of the Dorothy Height stamp. A ceremony will be held at Cramdon auditorium on the campus of Howard University in Washington, DC at 11:30 a.m. The Civil Rights heroine will be the 15th black woman to be honored with a stamp as the 40th stamp in the Black Heritage Series. Height is known for dedicating her life to fighting for racial and gender equality. The artwork was created by Thomas Blackshear.
