buzzz worthy. . . Potiphar's wife longed to be intimate with Joseph. Joseph, a slave, refused to lay with the master's wife despite her persistent sexual advances. Each time she pursued him Joseph refused. Potiphar had given Joseph charge over all of his possessions -- everything except his wife. One day when no one else was around she grabbed Joseph's garment asking him to lie with her again. "How can I sin against God?," he asked. He ran away leaving the garme nt in her hand. She lied to her husband saying the servant Joseph had mocked her, presenting his garment as proof that he had been with her. Potiphar sent Joseph to prison, but while he was in bondage God continued to have mercy on him and caused everything he did to prosper. On the surface it looked as if Joseph was doomed.
