  Rainbow PUSH Coalition Also Hosted the Inaugural President's Social Justice Conference One Day After the Installation DALLAS ,- On the first day of Black History Month, Dr. Frederick D. Haynes, III was formally installed as the President and CEO of Rainbow PUSH Coalition on  Thursday, February 1, 2024 , at  7 PM  at the Black Academy of Arts and Letters. The sold-out installation event featured VIP program participants and attendees from all over the country, including  Roland Martin , Rev.  Al Sharpton  (NAN),  Shavonne Arline-Bradley  (NCNW), Dr.  Michael Sorrell , Dr.  Amos Brown , and Dr.  Ron Daniels , among others.  Tashara Parker , 4X Emmy award-winning journalist, served as the mistress of ceremonies. BMI ANNOUNCES ITS SUPPORT OF MULTIPLE ORGANIZATIONS DEDICATED TO THE FIGHT FOR RACIAL JUSTICE

$275,000 in Monetary Contributions will be Spread Across Various Groups at the National and Local Level July 21, 2020 (New York, NY) –  BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.)  has announced the organizations that will receive support from its increased pledge of $275,000 to foundations dedicated to advancing social equality and racial justice. As part of the company’s commitment to driving meaningful and impactful change, donations will be made at both the national and local level to organizations at the forefront of the fight for equality. BMI will give $25,000 to nine different groups specializing in voting rights, underserved communities and social justice reform.  An additional $25,000 will be divided among a group of smaller, locally focused organizations in the cities where BMI has offices.  In keeping with the spirit of BMI and its mission, the remaining $25,000 will be donated for the creation of the Black American Music   Walk of Fame in ...

ARTIST TO UNVEIL “JUSTICE FOR ALL” BLACK HISTORY PORTRAIT SERIES IN HOMAGE TO THE 50th ANNIVERSARY OF THE BIRMINGHAM CHURCH BOMBING

Boykin, Jr. , a visual and graphic artist, will unveil   " Justice for All,"    a digitally illustrated series of portraits in celebration of Black History Month today.  The series was inspired by a theatrical production of “Four Little Girls” performed at Centenary College that told the story of the 1963 bombing of the  Sixteenth Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, AL which left 4 girls dead at the hands of White Supremacists. The exhibit will feature images of three figures in Black history --  two from the Civil Rights era (Dr. Martin Luther King and Malcom X) and one from the modern era (Professor/Author/Social Commentator Dr. Cornell West) to reflect the continuous need for change.  The art will be on display during an annual Black History Month program starting at 1:00 p.m. at The Church of the Living God, P.G.T. located at   1634...
