Just as the state of CA and a few others declare Monkey Pox a state of emergency, the Biden Administration is assembling a team to specifically address the growing health challenge. Two Monkey Pox coordinators have been hired to handle to public response. Robert Fenton from FEMA will be the leading coordinator. Dr. Demetre Daskalakis form te CDC will be te deputy coordinator. Their roles will be to keep the nation abreast of the canges wit te disease and how to mitigate it. Monkey Pox has been detected in 48 states. New York City, the epicenter of te cases, has 25% of te cases in the country. The new team will be able to handle needs such as acquiring and allocating vaccines on a federal level.
