Gospel Soprano LaShun Pace dies at 60, funeral service announced
Legendary gospel soprano LaShun Pace has died. The singer had a long battle with kidney disease. Her sister Lydia confirmed she passed away on the 11 Alive newscast after multiple organs failed on Monday, March 21. Pace had undergone dialysis treatments and had been awaiting a kidney transplant for five years. She also had fought cancer having had a ruptured esophagus and emergency surgery several years ago. She was 60. Recently the ailing songbird shared in an online video that she was going to get assistance with pain management for Shingles. Despite suffering from multiple illnesses the powerhouse vocalist continued to try to uplift others' spirits ministering through a message and songs in online videos.
