White House Convening on Contraception Access on the 59th Anniversary of Griswold v. Connecticut
Today, to mark the 59th anniversary of the Supreme Court’s landmark decision in Griswold v. Connecticut —which found that the constitutional right to privacy protects access to contraception—Jennifer Klein, Assistant to the President and Director of the White House Gender Policy Council, and Erica Songer, Deputy Assistant to the President and Counsel to the Vice President, convened women’s community leaders, health care advocates, and reproductive rights advocates to highlight the Biden-Harris Administration’s strong record of strengthening access to affordable, high-quality contraception, an essential part of reproductive health care.
