Biden establishes White House Task Force on Worker Organizing and Empowerment
In APril 26, President Biden signed an Executive Order establishing the White House Task Force on Worker Organizing and Empowerment. The Task Force is a historic effort to mobilize the federal government’s programs, policies, and practices to empower workers to organize and collectively bargain with their employers. The president named Vice-President Harris and Secretary of Labor Marty Walsh Chair and Vice-Chair of the Task Force, which will have a specific focus on increasing worker power in marginalized and underserved communities. The Task Force will include more than twenty cabinet members and department heads.
