DOJ sues Apple, Inc for anti-trust violations
The Department of Justice on Thursday announced a legal challenge against the Apple company alleging the monopolization of the smartphone market. Attorney General Merrick Garland said that the billions Apple makes off the product exceeds the GDP of a 100 countries. He criticized the creators of the iPhone for deliberately blocking other tech developers from being able to compete, a violation of the antitrust act. Consumers have also suffered the suit days by compatibility limitations.
