UNSUNG
Sultry R&B vixen Adina Howard became a star in the mid-1990s with the chart-topping hit "Freak Like Me." More than a party anthem, it was a transformative song that allowed women to unabashedly take ownership of their sexuality. Almost overnight, Howard became an outspoken leader for female empowerment, but success came at a price. Since she didn't write or produce most of her songs, she received little money from her gold debut and platinum selling single. After making unsavory comments about the head of her record label, Howard was all but blackballed from the industry. Now she is back with new music and ready to tell her story, live and uncensored.

UNSUNG celebrates the lives of trailblazing musicians whose full stories and journey have yet to be explored. This season promises memorable stories of influential artists including 80s teen sensation The Jets, singer/songwriter Shirley Murdock, dance music legend Crystal Waters, R&B crooner Glenn Jones, vocalist Kenny Lattimore and contemporary gospel musician Tasha Cobbs Leonard.

After the episode, be sure to catch the tvone.tv exclusive of Adina Howard's "UNSUNG Live," a musical performance series where UNSUNG artists perform a hit song allowing fans to experience their amazing talent. Howard performs her seductive hits "Freak Like Me" and "T-Shirt & Panties" with the band Mothers Favorite Child.
UNSUNG is narrated by actor Gary Anthony Williams and is Executive Produced by Arthur Smith and Frank Sinton of A. Smith & Co. Productions. Mark Rowland is Executive Producer. For TV One, Jason Ryan is Executive Producer in Charge of Production, Donyell McCullough is Senior Director of Talent & Casting and Robyn Greene Arrington is Vice President of Original Programming and Production.

UNCENSORED
Born and raised in Mount Vernon, NY, Tami Roman and her mom fled to Los Angeles to escape Tami's childhood sexual and physical abuse. Instead of providing a refuge, L.A. led to further hardships and struggles. With the help of her mom, Roman landed a role on the hit reality series "The Real World Los Angeles." She was later cast on "Basketball Wives" where she gained a reputation for her unfiltered personality. After her tumultuous marriage to NBA player Kenny Anderson ended due to infidelity, Roman embarked on starting a new life. When her mom fell ill and passed away, Roman contemplated suicide. With the help of family and friends, however, she was able to push through and is now a popular reality TV star and budding comic.

The popular show UNCENSORED resumes for its second season and explores the private lives of some of today's most notable personalities including comedian/radio host DL Hughley, legendary hip-hop producer Jermaine Dupri, actress Tasha Smith, actress/singer Naturi Naughton and the reigning king of urban gospel Kirk Franklin.
