'Beverly Hills Cop', 'Dirty Dancing' Make the 2024 Library of Congress Registry

The national film registration the Library of Congress. has added 25 news movies. The films were chosen for their cultural or historical significance. The registry now includes 900 titles.
Along with Beverly Hills Cop and Dirty Dancing, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and No Country for Old Men were selected.
Deaf characters and culture are represented in two films this year: 1962’s The Miracle Worker and Compensation.
