(TSN): Lawmakers are vexed over the policy-changing potential of president elect Trump's nomination for the Department of Health and Human Services-- anti-vaxxer Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. Concerns about the return of illnesses that have been controlled by safe vaccines for years like measles and mumps are growing.
James Hodge Public health law expert at Arizona State University's Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, says, "He'll make America suck again " And with Kennedy taking charge of the health department the U.S. will "experience a seminal change in vaccine law and policy."
There has been bi-partisan backlash after a New York Times article claimed Kennedy will bar use of the life-saving Polio vaccine.
A spokesperson said he beleives it should can still be used but shoukd be studied further, casting doubts about its efficacy.
