  Pres. Donald Trump has besowed clemency to a  Texas Democrat and his  wife who were jailed for bribery.  Former Congressman Henry Cuellar and his wife Imelda were pardoned viaTruth Social Wednesday morning.   Trump wrote: "Henry, I don't know you, but you can sleep well tonight — Your nightmare is finally over!," claiming they were prey of the Biden Admjnistration due to Mr. Cuellar's outspokeness in favor of border security. Similar toTodd and Julie Chrisley the Cuellar's daughters advocated for their release. They appealed for thier parents' freedom in a letter to the president like Savannah Chrialey. (The Chrisleys are a previously jailed reality TV couple and were one of the earliest pardons this year.) Trump said the former Congressman was a victim of Biden's weaponized justice department.   The White House is striking back against the Afghan National who shot two est Virginia National gaurds members, killing one.  The shooter was a parolee.  Senator Cornyn spoke about strengthening the vetting process that allowef 77 thousand Afghan Nationals into  the country without properly vetting. DHS had no estblished process to vet the parole population.  He said while " when trajic incidents like this happen it is a reminder  that we need to make sure it does not recur," blaming the Biden Administration for relaxed policies.
