LOS ANGELES —December 8, 2009 —BET’s tenth anniversary of CELEBRATION OF GOS P EL adds performances by Yolanda Adams, Ledisi, Donald Lawrence, and spoken word monologues by the talented actors Robin Givens and Ernie Hudson. Hosted by comedian and actor Steve Harvey, CELEBRATION OF GOS P EL will be taped at the famed Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles on Saturday, December 12 and will air on Sunday, January 10, 2010. With grandiose performances by gospel and mainstream artists, a 24-piece orchestra led by world-renowned musical director Ray Chew and the most engaging comedian around, CELEBRATION OF GOS P EL is sure to get viewers on their feet.



In addition to the newly added talent, the house will be filled with joyful praise and stunning performances by Fantasia and her mother Diane Barrino Barber, Anthony Hamilton and his wife Tarsha Hamilton, GRAMMY™ award winners BeBe and CeCe Winans, Fred Hammond, Kelly Price and Sherri Shepherd, along with gospel superstars Donnie McClurkin, Pastor Shirley Caesar, Marvin Sapp, James Fortune & FIYA, Tye Tribbett & Greater Anointing, Dr. Bobby Jones and the Nashville Super Choir, SUNDAY BEST winner Y’Anna Crawley, The Rance Allen Group, and The City of Refuge P.S.A.L.M.S. Winans, Sr. has wed his long time girlfriend Deneen R. Carter. Carter is a 57-year-old physical therapist and minister at Perfecting Church in Detroit, founded by Winans. Little is known about the bride publicly. The gospel legend introduced the now Mrs. Winans as his fiance to the congregants of Perfecting in October of 2021.
