Caesar is always cognizant of the spiritual mission of her calling, whether she is on a concert stage, featured on BET's Celebration of Gospel or sweeping through the city at the White House. Both a singer and a pastor, Caesar, 77 soul saving music ministry has earned her a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday, June 28, 2016.
This year the gospel music trailblazer celebrates half a century in the gospel music industry as a solo act. Prior to going solo she was a member of the legendary Caravans. Caesar’s pastoral leadership and social justice activism were also acknowledged at the site of the star, just outside of the Fonda theater in Hollywood. Yolanda Adams and Kirk Franklin were guests speakers at the Dedication of the 2,583rd star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the category of Recording. The star is located near the Fonda Theater.
