BISHOP LEONARD SCOTT AND A TEAM OF MEDICALLY TRAINED STAFF COMPLETE A MISSIONARY TRIP TO ASSIST HAITI RESIDENTS
( Indianapolis , IN ) – February 9, 2010 – While the world has focused on sending relief to the Haitian families, Tyscot Records Founder, Bishop Leonard Scott took it a little further. Scott, a trained Dentist, along with two other medical staff, traveled to the Dominican and provided free health care for their oral well-being.

The medical and dental mission trip to the Dominican Republic consisted of three dentists, Dr. Rob Eversole of Greensburg , IN , and Drs. Leonard Scott and Lynna Scott of Indianapolis , four nurses, one dental hygienist and various other personnel to make up a team of 25. Those participating were members of First Baptist Church of Greensburg, Indiana and Rock Community Church of Indianapolis, Indiana.
The entire team was scheduled to arrive at the Santo Domingo Airport on Saturday January 16, 2010. But due to weather and other conditions on the Island, flights for the Greensburg delegation consisting of 18, who flew out of Cincinnati, and the Indianapolis delegation consisting of 7, flying out of Indianapolis were both delayed, and both were rescheduled to leave a little later.
The Greensburg delegation made it in just before Scott and his team, as they were rerouted and grounded in Miami to arrive in Santo Domingo .
The Greensburg delegation started their assignment in Batey Mata Los Indios-San Luis. The next day, they were joined by the Indianapolis delegation at Comunidad Los Cantines-San Miguel. This site was in a rural one room school where people in the community came for dental, pharmaceutical and medical services. Many of the people here were Haitians who had migrated to the area to work the sugar fields. Later on the journey, the team was in Sabana Grande de Boya at a church in another rural community. Many of the people in these rural communities had no access to dental, medical or pharmaceutical services until missionary teams come to them to make them available.
“We met a man here who was reported to be 108 years old,” says Dr. Scott. “It was a remarkable journey and I am thankful to God we were available to carry out this mission to the people of Haiti who were in need of assistance.”

On the final day of the mission they went to the Haitian Baptist Church in Santo Domingo in the urban area known as “Little Haiti.” Many of the people in this area are illegal immigrants and refugees in great need of dental and medical care.
Not to forget Scott’s other passion and duty as the CEO and artist on Tyscot Records, he is preparing to release another CD/DVD. His last CD/DVD release ‘BE LIFTED UP’ on Tyscot Records had a top-20 debut on Billboard’s Gospel Charts. The CD entered at #18 with a bullet.
