Heavy D Succombs at the age of 44

Last month Heavy D brought the house down at the BET Hip Hop Awards  in an unforgettable throw back performance complete with  the flawless 80's dance moves that helped  form his rep for being one of the smoothest rappers in the game.  That night the hip hop nation enthusiastically welcomed the return of the "overweight lover."  The renowned rapper went on to embark on a Europen tour and had recently returned to the states reportedly with pneumonia.  According to various reports,  he collapsed in in his Beverly Hills home Tuesday morning.  A 911 recording revelaed Heavy had labored breathig during transport to Cedar Sinai Medical Center where he was pronouncd dead hours later.  Born Dwight Errington Myers in Jamaica and raised in New York, the renowned MC left the world with a positive message on Twitter: "Be Inspired."Lt. Mark Rosen of the Beverly Hills Police Department said they believe the death  was medically related and do not suspect foul play. Heavy D,  dead at the age of 44.
