buzzz worthy. . .
The life and legacy of prominent gospel radio announcer Donna Grady Creer and her husband Donald will include a Memorial Musical to honor the couple on June 20 in Little Rock, AK and a live stream of their funeral services on June 21.
The couple died in a fire inside their Little Rock home on June 12 under suspicious circumstances. Sgt. Cassandra Davis of the Little Rock Police Departments said Wednesday the deaths do not appear to be "accidental" and an investigation and autopsy are underway.
Affectionately known as "Lady Donna," the Radio Hall of Fame member impacted numerous lives beyond her duties. According to Vicki Mac Lataillade founder of Gospocentric label that birth the career of Kirk Franklin, Creer was the first to play Franklin's "The Reason Why I sing."
"She called me & said it was a hit and said that she would call her friends in radio and encourage them to play 'Reason Why We Sing.' She loved my daughters and insisted that I send her pictures . . .I miss her already," Lataillade said in a Facebook post.
Donald Creer was reportedly and airline attendant and opera singer.
