Oprah's Life Class to tak epart in T.D. Jakes' Megafest

Los Angeles, CA - Oprah Winfrey will travel to Dallas, Texas to film an all-new episode of her popular OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network series "Oprah's Lifeclass" at MegaFest 2013, Bishop T.D. Jakes' multi-day event, at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas on Thursday, August 29, 2013.

Tickets to attend the show will be available for purchase starting Friday, July 5 at 1 p.m. ET via www.tdjakes.org/oprahslifeclass.

Oprah will take the stage in one of the world's most social experiences on television to kick-off MegaFest 2013 at 9:30 a.m. CT. She will be joined by Bishop Jakes and together they will continue the important work of reaching out to the many fatherless sons and daughters who are struggling and in need of healing. Earlier this season on "Oprah's Lifeclass," Oprah and spiritual life coach Iyanla Vanzant started the in-depth conversation around fatherless sons and daddyless daughters, a crisis affecting nearly 21 million children in the United States today*, that elicited a strong and passionate viewer response.

Alabama Pastor Shot and Killed in Domestic Incident

Pastor Da’Quarius Green , a 31-year-old leader of Elba Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Alabama, was shot on Dec. 23, 2025 and died several days later in the hospital after a domestic dispute at his home in Level Plains . Authorities have described the shooting as a “domestic incident” involving his wife,  𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐲. Local news station WTVY reported "c ourt records show that Green was arrested on misdemeanor domestic violence charges 3 times in Houston County last year, with each of those cases dismissed. Also in 2024, a woman filed a protection order against Green in Houston County in which she believed him to be a danger," but did not confirm Mrs. Massey as the suspect.    Various reports indicate the couple's children were present when he was shot in the head.   In one instance, a woman who shared children with Green alleged that he repeatedly struck her , including once when she was pregnant.
