Karen Clark Sheard New Single ‘Sunday AM’ Impacts Gospel Radio
(Detroit, MI – February 24, 2014) – Four-time GRAMMY® Award-winning recording artist Karen Clark Sheard releases new single, “Sunday AM” impacting gospel radio March 24th. “Sunday AM”, pronounced as “Sunday Morning” is produced by award-winning super producer Donald Lawrence and was recorded live at the House of Hope in Chicago, IL. The recording marks the first project with Karew Record’s new distribution partner, Entertainment One Music (eOne Music). The untitled forthcoming album is scheduled for release later this year.
Clark Sheard performs tonight as part of a tribute to the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin on BET Honors. The show premieres during Black History Month, February 24 in the USA and around the world on BET’s international network on February 28, 2014 at 9:00pm GMT (check local listings). Other artists scheduled to perform in Franklin’s tribute include Jennifer Hudson, Franklin’s son, KeCalf Franklin and her granddaughter, Victory Franklin.
BET honorees include Motown Records founder and creator of the Broadway smash hit MOTOWN THE MUSICAL, Berry Gordy, American Express CEO & Chairman, Ken Chenault, visual artist, Carrie Mae Weems and entertainment trailblazer, Ice Cube. BET Honors is hosted by actor and comedian, Wayne Brady. Other performances include Mariah Carey, Janelle Monae, Tamar Braxton, and Smokey Robinson with special guest appearances by Rev. Al Sharpton, Joe Morton, Ludacris and Mac Wilds.
Clark Sheard recently completed taping the second season of the hit docu-series, The Sheards also airing on BET.
