Coco Brown's comedy specialto air on Bounceon March 10

buzzz worthy. . .

ATLANTA, GA  - Comedian and actress Cocoa Brown will headline her very own one-hour special as part of the third installment of Bounce TV's popular, family-friendly original comedy series "Off The Chain." "Off The Chain: Cocoa Brown" premieres on Tuesday, March 10 at 9/8pm (CT). "Off The Chain" features some of the most hilarious African-American comedians on the stand-up scene. For season three, Bounce TV turns over the microphone to one comic per show, expanding to an hour-long format.

With her raw, yet relevant, and side-splitting delivery of comical observations on topics from Jay Z's lips to keeping "Side Men" in their place, Cocoa Brown is undeniably one of the most talented comics and performers working today. The Newport News, VA native assails her craft with such passion and soul-searching veracity that when she claims a stage, the ensuing act is nothing short of a force of a nature. Cocoa draws from painful reminiscences and hard-knocked lessons, weaving humorous and uplifting tales. What drives the comic who female fans have nicknamed "The Truth"? The sheer will of a woman who survived the worst life had to offer and is still standing.

And on March 10, she stands on the "Off the Chain" stage.

Starting off as an advertising associate for Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus, the fiery mother of one is now a seasoned performer who has assembled an extensive body of work, including appearing on Tyler Perry's critically-acclaimed comedy series "For Better or Worse."  From stand up to comedic roles in film and television, Cocoa Brown has delivered scene-stealing performances everywhere she goes. She most recently starred in "The Single Mom's Club" opposite Nia Long, Roslyn Sanchez, Wendi McClendon Covey and Amy Smart, and is set to appear in the upcoming "Ted 2" with Mark Wahlberg. On the small screen, Brown has delivered her quick wit on top-rated comedy shows including BET's "Comic View" and "One Mic Stand," as well as "Showtime at the Apollo."

"This is a peek inside the diary of comedian Cocoa Brown," Brown explains. "Absolute TRUTH...absolute COMEDY!!!!"
