UPDATE: Bobbi Kristina is "fighting for her life" with small signs of improvement days after drowning
buzzz worthy. . .
In the last 72 hours, details that have emerged about the health status of Bobbi Kristina Brown are somewhat vague, amid conflicting reports. Some say the prognosis is grim, while others say she is showing small signs of improvement. For certain, family members continue to hold out hope while her life hangs in the balance.
As of press time, Brown, the daughter of the late Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, is hospitalized in Atlanta, having been transported from a North Georgia hospital where she was initially admitted after a death scare over the weekend. Her father and other immediate family members are said to have been by her beside this entire time.
Ms. Brown was pulled from a tub in her North Georgia home on Saturday, January 31 in a scene that ominously mirrored her mother's death nearly three years ago. She had drowned, face down, left without the flow of Oxygen to her brain for minutes. Nick Gordon, her adopted-brother-turned-husband performed CPR until authorities arrived and according to Roswell, GA police authorities performed life-saving measures to revive her.
On the next day, doctors placed the 21-year-old in a coma to reduce swelling on her brain, she was breathing only with the support of a ventilator. People Magazine online reported that a close family friend told them Bobbi Kris is stable.
"She's pretty good right now, she's around family," said her cousin Jerod Brown. At the time he said she was doing "just fine" and as a family, "We're just praying for a speedy recovery, that's it."
By Monday, the swelling around her brain decreased as Oxygen flow increased. Doctors say her recovery is possible, but it is "going to take a miracle."
Police are investigating the incident and have said there were no drugs in the home and do not suspect foul play. Roswell police spokesperson Lisa Holland said so far no clues are pointing to how Bobbi Kris drowned and there wereno signs of struggle.
Police were called to Brown address on suspicion of a domestic dispute over a week before the incident. When they arrived no one was home. The investigation is on-going.
