CECE WINANS ONBOARD TO CELEBRATE THE 39TH ANNUAL MACY’S 4TH OF JULY FIREWORKS® INDEPENDENCE DAY WITH THE NATION’S LARGEST PYROTECHNIC DISPLAY

New York, NY – June 9, 2015 – On Saturday, July 4th, the Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks®  will rumble to life over New York City skies in the 39th annual celebration – Brave. Set over the East River, the nation’s largest Independence Day pyrotechnic display will extend to two locations this year. Beginning at approximately 9:20 PM, the celebration will dazzle the shorelines of Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn with an unparalleled spectacle of color, light and sound commemorating the holiday and our
nation’s heroes.  
 
Independence Day spectators from coast-to-coast can catch all the action in the sky by tuning to NBC’s two-hour national broadcast of Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular beginning at 8:00 PM ET (check local listings). In addition to the
pyrotechnic splendor, the 4th of July’s most popular entertainment special will feature the hottest acts in music.
 
Grammy® Award winning gospel artist, CeCe Winans has provided powerful vocals for the patriotic favorite “My Country ‘tis of Thee,” and six-time chart-topping country star Rodney Atkins will stun the crowds with his soulful interpretation of “America the Beautiful.” Setting the patriotic tone for the high flying explosions will be a magnificent score featuring the U.S. Air Force Band and renowned artists Emilio and Gloria Estefan, debuting their inspiring original song, ‘America’. 
 
“This year's Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks will be an amazing spectacle featuring more than 50,000 effects spread over two locations in the nation's largest Independence Day celebration," said Amy Kule, Executive Producer of Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks.
 
All three recordings will be available as a free limited time downloads on macys.com/fireworks from July 1st – July 5th.

NEWLYWEDS: Bishop Marvin Winans weds after 30 years

  By Mona Austin One of the most eligible bacherlors in Christianity has tied the knot - Marvin Winans remarries After being single for almost 30 years, legendary gospel singer and Bishop Marvin L. Winans, Sr. has wed his long time girlfriend Deneen R. Carter. Carter is a 57-year-old physical therapist and minister at Perfecting Church in Detroit, founded by Winans. Little is known about the bride publicly. The gospel legend introduced the now Mrs. Winans as his fiance to the congregants of Perfecting in October of 2021. The couple had been in a relationship for 15 years. Pastor Winans was previously married to fellow gospel singer Vicki Winans (with whom he has two sons) for 16 years before they divorced in 1995.   Data on murders (homicides) committed by race in the United States primarily comes from the FBI's Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program, which relies on reports from law enforcement agencies. The most recent detailed breakdown available is for 2023, but due to the FBI's transition to a new reporting system (NIBRS), not all agencies submitted complete data—only about 70-80% of the population was covered, so totals are undercounts. These figures represent known offenders (where race was identified), not arrests or convictions, and include single-offender and multi-offender incidents.
