SEVENTH DAY SLUMBER Releases New EP - REDLINE

buzzz worthy. . .

Band Preps to Kick Off Small Town America Tour with Fireflight and Shonlock.

Nashville, TN – Throughout its eighteen-year history, VSR Recording Artist Seventh Day Slumber has always been willing to confront the tough issues of life. SDS fans expect and respect the band’s commitment to writing tell-it-like-it-is lyrics and recording with musical excellence. Now on the new EP REDLINE, SDS provides a sonic rock assault that tackles issues pulled straight from the news headlines. Redline is available in stores and online today, October 9. VSR is distributed by Capitol Christian Distribution.

Based on the image of a red line on a car tachometer, Redline is a metaphor for the state of our country. Lead singer Joseph Rojas explains, “If you run a car in the red too long, it will literally blow up the engine. It seems like our country is in the same position. We have great division in our country like we have not seen in over a century. We have started to remove God from just about everything, and our society has been becoming more imbalanced. We are running in the red, and we can only do that for so long.”

In a unique turn, all proceeds from the Redline album will be donated to a variety of ministries and organizations. This five-song EP includes 4 original songs as well as a cover of Temple of the Dog’s “Hunger Strike.”  A duet with special guest Kevin Young (Disciple), all proceeds from “Hunger Strike” will be donated to several non-profit organizations that work to build wells and help alleviate childhood hunger.

On the heels of the Redline release, Seventh Day Slumber will launch the 2015 Small Town America Tour with Fireflight, and special guests Shonlock and Scarlet White. Tour dates include:

The theme of finding hope in every circumstance of life has been a consistent message in the ministry of Seventh Day Slumber. Our goal with this record is to let them know that the answers they are looking for can only be found in one place; in the arms of Jesus.”
