A Washington, D.C. native who was raised in church, Jarmel Evans formed Jarmel Evans & Worship Forever in 2007 when he was asked to lead a worship service on the campus of Howard University. He reached out to a few of his singing friends to back him up and the only friends who were available to sing that day were girls so his all-girl back-up team Worship Forever was born that night. Since
then, the group has performed across the USA and shared stages with renowned gospel artists such as Kurt Carr, Karen Clark-Sheard, Kim Burrell, Tye Tribbett, VaShawn Mitchell, Mali Music among others.
