Wallace, NC (July 14, 2016): Grace English, mother of Gospel singers Michael and Biney English passed away yesterday surrounded by her family after bravely battling the illness that took her life. 

Michael stated, "Thank you everyone for all your thoughts and prayers.
'There'll be no sorrow there, no more burdens to bear,
No more sickness, no pain, no more parting over there;
And forever I will be with the One who died for me,  What a day, glorious day that will be.'  My Momma is no longer in pain and she's in the arms of Jesus. The ultimate healing. She was my biggest supporter and fan. I love you Momma!”

Wallace Chapel:
Grace Elizabeth Torrans English, age 80, of Wallace, North Carolina left this earthly life for her eternal rest on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 from Vidant Duplin Hospital.

She was born February 12, 1936 in Duplin County, North Carolina and the daughter of the late Joshua Ellis and Elizabeth Blanchard Torrans. Grace was also predeceased by her sister and best friend, Judy Linda Stone and twin brothers, Ellis Ray Torrans, Sr. and Thomas Grey Torrans.

Grace was owner and manager of Biney's Music in Wallace. Surviving are her devoted sons, Biney English and wife Beverly of Wallace and Michael English of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Jessica English Whitley, Megan Cook and husband Keith, Sean English, Isabella English and Grace English; great grandchildren, Alexis Whitley, Madison Whitley, Asia Whitley, Chloe Whitley, Macie Whitley, Isaiah Calcote, Stella Cook, Ruby Cook and Georgia Cook; brother Jackie Torrans of Harrells; special niece Kimberly Rose Stone and other numerous nieces, nephews and friends that loved Grace dearly.

Grace was a loving mother and caring grandmother and friend. She found great joy in the simplest of things, but her greatest joy was family. With a kind heart and witty personality, she was a great pleasure to be around. Grace loved her family and was especially proud of her sons, Biney and Michael as well as her precious grandchildren. She was a lady in every sense of the word and to know Grace was to love her. She will surely be missed but cherished memories will forever live in the hearts of those who knew and loved Grace English.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 15, 2016 at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home Wallace Chapel.

Burial will follow in Devotional Gardens in Warsaw, North Carolina.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, one hour prior the service on Friday at the funeral home.
