LISTEN: Young UK singer Gabz offers positivity on 'Up' single ahead of album release

Gabz will release the album "Up" this fall.  Take a listen to the uplifting lead single.
Stevenage born singer/songwriter, multi instrumentalist and rapper Gabz started to play the violin at the age of six, which was followed by the piano, guitar, drums and ukulele. She also grew up learning the crafts of drama, ballet, modern and tap dance but music was always her main passion. Fast forward a few years later and the highly talented artist became a finalist of the Britain’s Got Talent 2013 series!
Gabz has gone from strength to strength since being on the show with her innovative fusion of urban ‘hip-pop’ and has been likened to a ‘mini Alicia Keys.’
Her first single ‘Lighters (The One)’ (self written at age 13!), reached No. 6 in the official UK charts, a spot on the Now 85 album and now has over 3 million hits on YouTube.
Gabz has already performed throughout the UK at venues including the London Palladium, Royal AlbertHall, the Olympic Park alongside McFly and Blackpool's IFest 2015 with The Vamps, Professor Greenand Lawson. Alongside this also embarking on many appearances including: Radio One, ITV Day Break, The One Show and This Morning.
She also has a strong passion for helping others and to be a good role model for the youth of today.  Gabz has been actively involved in helping to raise funds through performances and visits for UK charities including Jackie's Drop In (a centre for adults with disabilities), and Wings Of Hope(providing support for underprivileged children in India and Malawi, plus helping develop the skills and talents of students in the UK).
Gabz has drawn inspiration for her songwriting and music from everyday life experiences and her love of movies. She wants to portray her own style and unique combination of upbeat dance/pop songs, pop ballads, and is currently experimenting with RnB and Rap.
To date, Gabz has written over 70 songs, and with two albums in the pipeline she is now set to release her debut EP 'UP' on Friday, September 2.
Ahead of this will see the release of her title single from the EP due out on Friday 5th August. The uplifting video for the track also showcases the infectious personality of Gabz as both an artist and performer.
Gabz has returned, and this tour de force is very much here to stay
