buzzz worthy. . .

(Brooklyn,  New York) --  Melonie Daniels Walker celebrates the legacy of the Edwin and Walter Hawkins Music and Arts Love Fellowship Conference with the release of a Reverend Daryl Coley classic, "I Need Your Spirit ".  Walker officially debuted the single during the annual conference that celebrated its 35th year anniversary in the Gospel Music capital of the world, Chicago Illinois during the month of June.

Melonie Daniels Walker has spent some 2 decades in the industry serving as an in demand background vocalist, vocal arranger and director, vocal coach, singer/songwriter, actress, worship leader and workshop clinician.  Her artistic credentials include work with some of music's finest including Mariah Carey, Jermaine Dupri, Wynton Marsalis, Kim Burrell, Michael Bolton, Donald Lawrence, Kirk Franklin, Israel Houghton and others in addition to unforgettable performances with the GMWA Mass Choir, the GMWA Women of Worship, Olanda Draper and the Associates, Damien Sneed and the Levites and JJ Hairston and Youthful Praise.  Her travels across the country and abroad have brought her gifts and abilities to the forefront of  churches, conferences and concert venues around the globe, embracing people from all walks of life. In addition to the aforementioned, Daniels finds great joy through worship as a lead servant in the Music and Fine Arts ministry at New York's Greater Allen AME Cathedral.

The mesmerizing multi octave singer places this description on the single, "I Need Your Spirit was so ideal in that it expresses a reinforced truth that without God, we are nothing.  The Bible expresses it clearly when it says in Him we live, move and have our being.  The song also gives a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the legacy of Reverend Daryl Coley, who was by far one of the greatest singers and God sent musical gifts to mankind as well as to honor the wonderful music that we have been recipients of over the past 35 years through the Edwin and Walter Hawkins music conference.  I am just blessed to have been an active part of this great assembly of talented singers and musicians."

Radio programmers are adding the single this week as Walker makes scheduled appearances across the east coast and mid west areas throughout the remainder of the summer and fall.
