Michelle Obama's 2019 Grammys outfit placed on display in Grammy Museum
Michelle Obama's surprise appearance during the opening of the 2019 Grammys has landed her a place in music history. The metallic two-piece pant suit she wore when joining the girl power moment with Alicia Keys, J Lo, Jada Pinkett Smith and Lady Gaga on stage is now on display in the Grammy Museum at LA Live. on Feb. 10. Together, they opened the show and spoke about the power of music. On Feb. 10 she wore the Sachin & Babi outfit making her unforgettable appearance more outstanding as it glistened and sparkles on stage.
The designer had this to say about having the outfit featured in the museum:
"It was a dream come true and an honor to have the opportunity to dress Michelle Obama," said designers Sachin and Babi Ahluwalia. "She wore a custom deep loden green sequin top and pants that truly represents our brand as we are known for color, texture and occasion dressing. We were thrilled to see our muse Michelle wear it to the Grammys beside such empowering women. We are honored to have this look housed at the Grammy Museum."
The former First Lady's garment will be on display through January of 2020.
